Both Castlegate and Church Street surgeries are family GP practices offering medical services, clinics, travel advice, immunisations, health checks, family planning and maternity care.
Castlegate was established in 1975, originally based in Church Street, Hertford. The practice grew and in 1987 we relocated to our current premises in Castle Street near the centre of town.
Church Street premises are owned by the partners and were converted from a listed school building in 1985. Over the years the building has been modified to provide further consulting areas.
Both practices joined together in April 2020 to form New River Health GP Partnership. The practices have been working together for some time offering a wide range of services across both sites.
All of our GPs are committed to offering a professional service to individuals and families.
With the support of the teams across both surgeries, we are able to offer a wide range of services including clinics for chronic disease care, childhood vaccinations, antenatal and postnatal care, travel advice/immunisations and adult health checks.
